An Elizabeth Park & Pond House Wedding {September 2014}

When Khoi contacted me quite a few months ago about shooting his wedding I was so excited!  I have known Khoi for what seems like forever, as he has been good friends with my sister since they were in high school.  I was thrilled at the possibility of not only being present at their wedding but also being able to create the images that would remind them of their day for many years to come.  It was especially fun because I got to not only focus on them, but also spend some time capturing their sweet little Lilian, just barely one year old.  Elizabeth Park turned out to be an awesome location with so many different spots to choose from for a huge variation in backgrounds and light.  I was so pleasantly surprised by how gorgeous the event space was inside the Pond House and all of Abby's decorations fit the space so perfectly.

Some words from the bride:

"Khoi and my story isn't extravagant and exciting like some.  It is modest and well suited for us.  What started off as a friendship grew into a strong, loving relationship.  It only took a few fresh lobsters for me to have Khoi hook, line, and sinker. :) The proposal was not a huge ordeal with fireworks and lots of planning.  Instead, on the most romantic day of the year, Superbowl Sunday ;), Khoi presented me with the largest heart shaped box of chocolates money could buy, with a ring box on top.  Khoi, being a man of few words, took no time getting right to the point asking, 'Will you be mine forever?' The wedding plans were put on hold (for about nine months) when a few weeks after the proposal we found out we were expecting the most amazing little miracle, our daughter Lilian!  Her birth only strengthened our love and made us a well balanced team.  My childhood dream of an 'everything pink' wedding was quickly changed when Khoi and I fell in love with the venue at the Pond House Cafe.  My pinterest addiction quickly allowed me to plan a beautiful DIY, candle lit fall-themed event.  And now the best is yet to come..."

The team that helped make the day happen:

Venue & Catering: The Pond House Cafe   Hair & Makeup: Rachel Bastille, Maura Fitzgerald from The Hair Loft of Avon    Dress: David's Bridal     Cake: Classic Cakes    Officiant: Matt Loter

All the little details and table decor were done by Abby!  She did an awesome job!

And of course a big thank you to my amazing assistant and second shooter - Melanie Brown!

Here are my favorite images from the day-
